Over the last three years, I have used this app about 130 times for sea-kayaking on Georgian Bay, Ontario. It has served as a recorder of the trip, and as a mapping aid when Ive been lost, and has served me well. I paddle a total of about 400k each summer, on day trips.
The last update polished the user interface nicely, so its pleasant to use.
The tweak needed is to correct for either GPS signal loss or buffer overflow on longer day trips.
Today, after about 5 hours of successful tracking, it just stopped tracking and tried start a new trip. The skies were clear, there were no geographic obstacles, the battery still showed 40%, background app refresh was on, as was location services.
I should point out that, today, the total trip was recorded - when it stops unexpectedly thats not always the case. Most times you just lose the entire track.
Ive tried other apps, but this one does what I want in the simplest way, for a kayaker. If they could solve the tracking for long trips, then the app would be a 5*.
